[[info/credits]]They come to the table, say their names and you make some special note for them in the books along with your regular signature.
They might never know that it was different, but that is your little secret.
They thank you, smiling a lot. You smile back but you feel like just signing the other people's books, so the group leaves.
When the event is over, you just head home.
[[go home]] They smile and go to you and ask you to sign their books, which you do. You feel like you should strike a conversation.
[[So, are you students?]]
[[I hope you enjoy the book]]
[[mind your own business and go home when it's over->go home]] They smile at you and back to each other. You guess they noticed that you had no idea of what to say. They tell you about their favorite things about your previous books, which makes you very happy.
When the signing session is over, you just head back home.
[[go home]]"No, we are in a book club and we always read your books."
They go on.
"We like your settings and how they relate in a really innovative way to the mood of the story. We always like about the variety of characters, it seems like you can go into them so well!
You know, I am bisexual, and I loved to see a non-stereotypical vision of us. The narrative is beautiful and how you use the language so well..."
The other one interrupts them.
"Yes, the narrative would work without the diversity, but it is so good that you added it. Like, I always read..."
The conversation goes on and on. You try to keep on track of all the things they are saying. It went to personal stories now.
They seem to hope that you would turn them into characters.
Then the signing event is over.
You feel very tired and after all this conversation you can just think of going home
[[go home]]You really don't know how to talk about your career whatsoever, but you try.
It seems all so obvious to you that you have no clue of what you should or not include. Honestly, it seems like a waste of time.
You try to raise an interesting topic, like the way how writers pretend to portray the reality, but they ignore your attempt and start talking about their careers instead.
Not like it was the first time it has ever happened, so you just go with the flow and listen to what they have to say, contributing less and less to the conversation.
Then you go home.
[[go home]]You really prefer to listen about them then to talk about you, so you ask about what they are working on.
And they do.
They start explaining about the books, but not only that, but also all of the next step they are planning, related to both career and personal life.
It is nevertheless interesting
When the event is over, you can only think about going home.
[[go home]]You are then bluntly that you have nothing big in mind right now and that you are looking for new themes that spark your curiosity, and you comment something about making some experimentations you have been making.
They go on and ask about your ask about your inspirations, and how you think you relate to those writers, in any way.
They make lots of questions.
When the interview ends, they tell you that there are two managers wanting to talk to you, they don't know about the subject, though.
You don't seem to have a way to escape them, even if you wanted.
[[Talk to the managers]]
You tell them that ever since the game was sent to be printed, you have been making some experimentations with language and meaning, not with a book in mind.
You see their puzzled faces and you try to explain better, but you fail because you have nothing to use as an example right away, so the sentences just crumble around you.
They are probably wondering if you are really a writer.
You know you are though, and you are aware that everything you said makes sense, but it obviously saddens you that it is so hard to make yourself to be understood.
When the interview is over, you rush past them to go back to your house, any more conversation would be overkill.
[[go home->result]]You feel very tired and you are pretty sure it can be seen in your face, but they don't seem to notice, or care.
They compliment your book and the fact that you write and publish so often. They definitely don't see all the work behind it, but you prefer not to address the fact.
They talk to you about a few opportunities they might have for you, they explain them for a long time, but end up saying that nothing is decided yet.
They extend the conversation even more, by talking about their previous works with other writers, translations, cultural events, movies and series adaptations. It all sounds like a lot of crazy and hectic work for you.
You tell them that you are hoping to hear from a few of the proposals and leave to your house.
[[go home ->result]]You feel very happy for all the learning you have had these last days.
<style> tw-story{background-color:#98bbb2;}</style>
But on the other hand, you do feel the need to stay alone for a while when a friend of yours ask you to meet them. You do feel bad about it and you tell them this, but you listen on the other side of the line:
"It's okay. Take your time, you need this. You need to take care of your introversion."
You understand what they mean. They have talked about you being an introverted before. And you are trying to grasp the concept still.

[[info/credits]]You feel happy staying so long by yourself these last days, and you start thinking about the fact that being alone is kind your default mode. You recharge by being alone, and then you remember what a friend said once about his introversion, and you feel like you might be an introverted as well.
<style> tw-story{background-color:#f5926a;}</style>
You get that it is not about being shy, or awkward, or even misanthropic. It is only about needing a lot of alone time to recharge from socialization. When you notice this, many times in your life start making sense.
Obviously, you know that you can't be on your own all the time, or as much as you would want, but you decide to aim for a balance that suits you and the people you care about.

[[info/credits]]This is a game is about managing your social needs, but also a introversion awareness game. So many people are introverted without knowing, or have to deal with introverted people and just don't understand the difference in how they recharge from socialization.
However this game is based in one introvert's vision of introversion. No research or kind of generalization was made, you could be an introvert and not be like this or meet introverteds who would act different.
We encourage enyone who thinks they are introverted to try to balance social and alone time, and tell everyone in their life about those needs.
Thanks for playing!
